This website was developed as a way for a novice bird watcher (me) to learn about birds found near my home (Sudden Valley). Sometimes I hear a call or song, but can’t identify the bird. Going to a bird book or website is daunting because there are so many choices.

I started collecting information about the birds I think I’ve seen or heard and created this website. Now it can be accessed easily from a smart phone or tablet when I’m sitting outside or on a walk. And I’ve learned a lot in the process!
